The National Testing Agency, NTA, has released an important update regarding NEET 2025 registration. As per the department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, for NEET 2025, an APAAR ID would be required for NEET registration. In this blog, we will see what the APAAR ID is. The registration schedule of NEET 2025 would be announced soon. To complete the NEET 2025 registration process, aspirants must have the following documents:

APAAR Id for identification.
Updated Aadhaar Card as per class 10^th
A valid mobile number linked with Aadhaar card for verification process.

APAAR ID

APAAR stands for Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. It is a newly designed identification system for all the students of the country. It is a part of the “One Nation, One Student ID” scheme launched by the Government of India under the New Education Policy 2020.

APAAR ID — a unique 12-digit code —will help students to digitally store, manage, and access all their academic credits, including score cards, mark sheets, grade sheets, degrees, diplomas, certificates, and co-curricular accomplishments, facilitating seamless transitions between institutions for the pursuit of further education. The APAAR ID simplifies the processes of credit recognition and transfer right from the school level, thereby streamlining academic progression and recognition of prior learning.

Verification: Visit the school to verify demographic details.
Parental Consent: Obtain parental consent if the student is a minor.
Authentication: Authenticate identity through the school.
ID Creation: Upon successful verification, the APAAR ID is created and added to Digi-Locker for secure online access.

Updating Aadhaar Details for NEET 2025

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, NEET, is conducted for the admissions into various medical courses. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency, NTA. For NEET 2025, APAAR ID would be integrated with NEET. Students are encouraged to use their APAAR ID as well as Aadhaar Card for verification during the registration and examination. Therefore, aspirants are advised to update their Aadhaar credentials as per their class 10th mark sheet/certificate. Candidates should also ensure that their Aadhaar is linked with a valid mobile number. Candidates can visit their nearest Aadhar enrolment/update centre.
