NEET 2024: What to carry to NEET Exam Centre?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released NEET Exam instructions in the revised Information Bulletin for NEET 2024.

In this blog post, we will discuss the mandatory items that need to be carried to the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam centre. Also, we will brief you about the latest NEET Guidelines issued by the NTA.

Important Checklist for the NEET 2024

NEET students must ensure to carry only the following on the day of examination at the NEET exam centre.

  1. Admit Card: A printed copy of the Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website with a passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the Application form pasted on it).
  2. Passport Size Photo: One passport size photo for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at the exam centre during the examination.

Note: The photograph should be the same as uploaded on the Online Application Form.

  1. ID Proof: Valid Original Identity Proof.

Must ensure to carry original and valid any one of the following allowed photo IDs

  • Aadhaar Card
  • PAN card
  • Driving License
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • Ration Card
  • Class 12 Admit Card with Photograph
  • Any other Valid and Original photo Identity proof issued by the Government.
  1. Post Card Size Photo: One Post Card Size (4”X6”) colour photograph with white background should be pasted on the Proforma downloaded with the Admit Card and should be handed over to the Invigilator at the exam centre.

Note: If any students fails to bring the proforma with an attached postcard-size photo and one passport size photo will not be permitted to sit in the NEET exam, which will lead to his/her disqualification.

  1. PwBD Certificate: It issued by the Competent Authority, if applicable.

Prohibited Items at NEET Exam Centre

The NEET students will be subjected to strict and mandatory security checks before entering the NEET examination centre with the help of sensitive metal detectors.

Students are instructed not to carry the barred items at the NEET exam centre.

The following items are not allowed inside the NEET exam centre:

  1. Any textual items (printed or written), stationary items, pieces of papers, Geometry or Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
  1. Any electronic devices like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, microphones, Pager, Health Band, etc.
  1. Any analog/digital watch, Bracelet, Camera, Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap, or any decorations or metallic items etc.
  1. Water Bottles, Tea, coffee, cold drinks or snacks, and packed foods like chocolate/ candy/sandwich are not permitted inside the NEET examination centre.

Note:

  1. students suffering from diabetes may carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange).
  2. Transparent water bottles are allowed.

 

Dress Code for NEET 2024

The students are instructed to follow the following dress code while appearing for NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) 2024.

  • Heavy clothes and/or long sleeves are not allowed.
  • Slippers are allowed.
  • Sandals with only low heels are allowed.
  • Shoes are not allowed.

Note: If students arrive in traditional or cultural dress at the NEET exam centre, they should ensure to report at least an hour before the last reporting time, i.e. 12.30 pm.

In case of any variation required because of unavoidable (medical, etc.) circumstances, specific approval of the National Testing Agency (NTA) must be taken before the release of NEET 2024 Admit Cards.

Important Instructions for the NEET 2024.

  • No arrangement will be made at the exam centres for the safekeeping of any items belonging to the students.
  • The students wearing any objects of faith (traditional/ cultural/ religious) should report at the examination centre at least two hours before the last reporting time to complete the proper frisking process with no inconvenience.

Note: While maintaining the sanctity of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. If during the screening process, it is found that any student is carrying a suspected device within such an item of faith, he/ she may not be allowed to take it into the examination hall.

  • The students should report at the allotted NEET Examination Centre before the last reporting time to make themselves available for mandatory security checks.
  • The student must follow the dress code for appearing in the NEET 2024
  • Students are advised to regularly visit the official website of NTA (https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/) and also check their registered email or SMS for any latest updates regarding the NEET 2024 examination.

Important Instructions to be followed in the NEET 2024 Examination Hall

  1. No student will be allowed to enter the NEET Examination Centre after 1:30 pm.
  1. The student must show, on-demand, the NEET 2024 Admit Card for entry into the Exam Hall.
  1. A student without a valid NEET Admit Card will not be allowed to enter the Examination Hall by the Centre Superintendent.
  1. A seat with a Roll number will be allocated to each student.
  1. Students must find out and occupy their assigned seats only.
  1. During the exam time, the designated Invigilator will check the Admit Card to verify the identity of the students.
  1. The assigned Invigilators will also put their signature in the specified place provided in the Answer Sheet and on the Attendance Sheet.
  1. The student must ensure to sign twice on the Attendance Sheet at the space provided on the Attendance Sheet.
  1. The students must ensure to put the Thumb impression in the space provided on the Attendance Sheet.
  1. Students are not allowed to leave his/her allocated seats or the Examination Room until the NEET exam ends as per the scheduled time.
  1. No student will leave the Room or Exam Hall without handing over their OMR Sheets to the invigilator.
