JEE Main 2024 Session I: Admit card Release Date
As JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will be conducted in January 2024 (between January 24 and February 1, 2024). The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the admit card for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 on their official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in, 03 days before the actual date of individual candidates’ Examination.
What do I have to carry into the exam center?
The candidate needs to carry the following at the examination centre:
- Print out of Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear printout on A4 size paper) duly filled in.
- One photograph(same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the Attendance Sheet at the Centre during the examination.
- A simple transparent Ballpoint pen.
- Any one of the following original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by the government.
School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.
- Personal transparent water bottle.
- Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic.
What not to carry into the exam center?
Candidates are not allowed to carry any other materials such as Instruments, Geometry or Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material), Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen (pen scanner), Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room to the examination centers.

The intimation slip for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will be released by the National Testing Agency during the second week of January 2024.

After the result declaration of JEE Advanced, candidates can apply for the counseling process. Candidates will be offered admission on the basis of their filled choices and All India Rank (AIR) of JEE 2024.
Admissions are made through a Seat Allocation Process by the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) or Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
Only the All India Rank is considered for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) to NITs/ IIITs/ CFTIs/ SFIs/ and others.
Last-minute preparation tips for JEE Main 2024
- Firstly, It is important to get 8–9 hours of sleep before the exam. It will help you relax your brain and increase retention.
- Keep on revising important formulae, short notes, tricks, and methods to avoid confusion in the exam hall.
- Revise all subjects and important topics and finalise your preparation.
- Try to cover important topics. Sometimes questions come very easy, and we must score on them.
- Practice the JEE Main 2024 Mock Tests and Previous Year Question papers as much as you can and analyse them.

No, As per the latest information bulletin, only candidates who have passed their XII or equivalent exam with 75% marks are eligible to be admitted to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs through JEE 2024. However, for SC / ST candidates, the qualifying marks should be 65% in XII or an equivalent examination. For more information, kindly refer to the Information Bulletin 2024.
When should I register for JEE Main 2024?
For the first session of JEE Main 2024, the registration window has been closed. For JEE Main Session 2, candidates can apply online from 02 February 2024 to 02 March 2024 (up to 09:00 P.M.). Although a candidate can apply for Session 1 and Session 2 together in the Session 1 registration window.
Is JEE Main 2024 exam tough?
